Guided Lantern Tours of the Gruber Wagon Works
Friday, October 8, 2021 • 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Berks County Heritage Center, 1102 Red Bridge Rd., Reading
Visit the Gruber Wagon Works, after hours, and enjoy a unique evening tour of this one-of-a-kind National Historic Landmark. Tours will start every half-hour. Harvest Fun Day
Saturday October 23, 2021 • 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Location: Berks County Heritage Center, 1102 Red Bridge Rd., Reading
Join Berks County Parks & Recreation Department and the Yocum Institute for a fun-filled afternoon at the Berks County Heritage Center. The middle school/high school ensemble will perform “Legends of Berks County.” Games, wagon rides, jugging workshops, pumpkin painting, apple prints, sing-a-longs.
 
The Pennsylvania Long Rifle or The Kentucky Rifle

Berks County Heritage Center, 1102 Red Bridge Rd., Reading
Join local historian and Revolutionary War expert Lynn Otto and learn about the history of the Pennsylvania Long Rifle and the ongoing “naming” debate of Pennsylvania versus Kentucky Rifle. Otto will also focus on gun making in Colonial America.
