"To stop the flow of music would be like the stopping of time itself, incredible and inconceivable."
- Aaron Copland
Hello, all! While we would love to be at the Berks County Heritage Center enjoying the full Red Bridge Fiddle Festival, we know 2020 has brought many challenges and been a most unusual year. So while we are not able to have our outdoor festival, we are very fortunate to partner with Dave Kline and Americana Fest. If you haven't visited the Facebook page or tuned in, please check it out and share with family & friends!
Dave has offered to help us put on a Virtual Fiddle Contest for all our great participants - on Saturday, June 27th starting at 1:00 p.m. And anyone can participate - right from your home!
Attached is the registration form, and details. We are encouraging all who would like to participate, to video your songs, complete the registration form and send them to Dave and I by Friday, June 19th. Please share with others who might also be interested in sharing your talented skills on the fiddle!
We'll have the same age groups for the contest, starting with Ages 10 & under at 1:00 p.m. Dave will put all the participant videos together to show them on Saturday, June 27th. Our judges and I will also be watching and will be announcing the winners after each age group.
If you have any questions, please call Becky Richards at 484-256-5296 or call our main Park office at 610-372-8939. Thank you and we hope to see you *Virtually*.
