  • 2022 General Election Review Period

    The return board of the County of Berks has finished the canvass of the votes cast during the 2022 General Election. These results are available on the Election Results page.

    The five-day review period begins Friday, November 18 at 8 AM and will end Wednesday, November 23 at 5 PM.  The Election Services office is open from 8 AM to 5 PM each day of the review period, but will be closed Sunday, November 20.

  • Correctional Facility Project​ Updates

    The County is planning to construct a new correctional facility to replace the existing County jail. A website that will serve as the hub for information and updates about the project is available in English and Spanish. View the BCCF project website>​

  • Schuylkill River Passenger Rail Authority

    The Berks County Commissioners approved the creation of the Schuylkill River Passenger Rail Authority with Chester and Montgomery counties. The formation of the authority is the next step in restoring passenger rail service from Reading to Philadelphia. Press Release​​ | Learn more >​
