  • Run4Sam set for Aug. 15 at Gring's Mill
    The 13th annual Run4Sam is back this year with options to participate virtually or in-person on Aug. 15. Proceeds from this event support the operation and maintenance of the Union Canal towpath and significant projects at Gring’s Mill, as well as a scholarship and other local charities.   • Music on the Mountain​
    Help kick off the 30th anniversary of the Berks County Jazz Fest with the inaugural Music on the Mountain concert. The Mardi Gras themed event will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 5pm to 9pm at the Reading Liederkranz and feature the Mount Penn Preservation Jazz Band! Learn more >
  • ​Tri-County Rail Committee
    The Berks County Commissioners have pledged their support for pursuing the restoration of passenger rail service in Berks, Chester and Montgomery counties. Three Berks County representatives -- Commissioner Christian Leinbach, Deputy CAO Pamela Shupp Menet and GRCA President and CEO Jim Gerlach -- are part of a Tri-County Rail Committee that meets frequently to help move the project forward.
