  • The County of Berks offices and services are currently limited to individuals with essential / emergency needs only.  Before going to any of our offices, please visit the department's website for the most up-to-date information as it is updated frequently.  For the safety and well-being of our staff and residents, individuals that need to come to the County offices are asked to come with the least amount of companions possible.
  • All Berks County Employees and anyone entering county buildings must wear a mask or they will be denied entrance.
  • Berks County COVID-19 Help Center - email at COVID@countyofberks.com or call 610-320-6150. Staff will be answering phones and responding to emails week days between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.  Multilingual services are available. If a person has a Social Service question or need they should call 211. If a person is experiencing a medical emergency, they should call 911.

  • Met-Ed Storm / Water & Ice Locations in Berks
    The strong damaging winds that ripped through Berks County on June 3, 2020 have caused widespread power outages across the Met-Ed footprint. Met-Ed has made good progress restoring power to nearly 85% of the total customers who were affected in Berks County. Click here to read the full update.

 County Commissioners' Meetings

 
Online Public Meeting Information
 
The Berks County Commissioners announced several meeting changes today making it clear they are beginning the transition towards a "New Normal." Click to read the full press release.
 
  • The daily COVID-19 Leadership meetings that were established in the March 12th Berks County declaration of local disaster emergency will no longer occur except in the case of COVID-19 emergency.
  • Commissioners' Weekly Thursday Meetings will resume May 7, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. The meetings will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams Live Event and broadcast live on BCTV.
  • New Berks County Operations Meeting will also be held on a weekly basis each Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. These meetings will be held virtually via a Microsoft Teams Live Event.
  • Phase 3 Recovery & Beyond Meeting will be held each Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. These meetings will be held virtually via a Microsoft Teams Live Event.
 
The public may participate via the Q&A feature on Microsoft Teams Live. A link to each of the meeting's Microsoft Teams Live event will be posted to the County's website along with the meeting agenda.
 
Instructions are posted on the Online Public Meetings web page. Dates, times and access to public meetings set forth herein are subject to change throughout the year, and if changed, will be posted on the County Public Meeting Calendar and/or Online Public Meetings web page.
