THE RECYCLING CENTER (cardboard, mixed paper, aluminum and tin cans and plastic bottles) AT 1316 HILLTOP ROAD, LEESPORT IS OPEN DAILY FROM 8:00 AM UNTIL 8:00 PM. CENTER MAY CLOSE FOR SHORT PERIODS OF TIME TO PROCESS MATERIALS, AS DEMAND REQUIRES.

PLEASE MAINTAIN PROPER DISTANCING OF 6' BETWEEN VISITORS AND WEAR A MASK.

COVID-19 Protocols - Berks Recycling Center

All Berks County Employees and anyone entering county buildings must wear a mask or they will be denied entrance. County of Berks Offices are currently open only to individuals with appointments and to conduct essential business. Essential business refers to those functions that cannot be postponed or conducted remotely.

Mission

The mission of the Berks County Solid Waste Authority is to manage solid waste and recyclable materials in an environmentally safe, reliable and efficient manner.

About Berks County Solid Waste Authority (SWA)

The Berks County Solid Waste Authority was established by the Berks County Commissioners on August 19, 1992. The role of the Solid Waste Authority is to protect the health and welfare of the residents of Berks County and to provide a means whereby Berks County can effectively and efficiently (a) manage and (b) implement the Solid Waste Plan.

The Recycling Center at 1316 Hilltop Road, Leesport is now under video surveillance and illegal dumpers are being cited. Please do not leave anything at the center that is not listed as an acceptable material on the containers. Absolutely no Styrofoam is permitted to be dropped off at this center. This center is open daily from 8:00 AM until dusk.
